For the tire repair, they did a great job. However, I also asked for a quote on some body work and I know the EP location sent pictures to another location, but I never received a quote.

I used to like this place a lot; it felt more like a small business instead of a chain. Personalized service, honest advice, not pushing things you don't need. In the past few years though, their prices have gone up, the staff turned over and isn't as friendly or trustworthy and the way its run feels like its "corporate-directed" instead of being managed at a store level. Very disappointing.

I have a VW Tiguan that I brought in because I was getting a code that the fuel injectors were not working on two cylinders. When I dropped it off, no one ever indicated that the shop might lack the capacity to repair a VW, and I had stopped in earlier to make sure the shop could repair VWs and was told yes. I came back after the first drop off, they switched the injectors around and say to see if that works. I drove it the next weekend, and immediately got the same codes and check engine lights. Took it back after the weekend, they looked at it again and said I had to take it to VW to get the injectors cleaned because they didn't have the equipment to do it. So, I feel like I spent $130 or whatever it was for nothing, and of course, I have to start all over investing more time and money with VW. I would have at least expected a warning that you might not be able to fix the problem. I heard your ads on the radio and decided to give you guys a shot. I will definitely not take back the VW, but really not sure I'll return with any vehicle. Staff was nice.

We went in for an oil change and to replace a headlight. They forgot to replace the headlight and also put the tire on backwards after rotating.

Disappointed in the estimate. Was told one price for the extra piece and was charged full price. Not a good way to run a business. I take my vehicles there all the time. Unsure about future stops.
Shop Comment
We appreciate the communication so we have the opportunity to identify areas where we fell short on this one. We hope to raise the bar and continue to earn your business as we have in the past!

My experience with Youngsted was not a memorable one I called to get an estimate on fixing a leaking right axle oil seal - I was quoted $116.xx over the phone I brought my vehicle to the shop a few days after that and when I checked in, the gentleman who checked me in told told me that the quoted price is inaccurate and it is way too low - he offered a compromisd to meet with me half way on the price - Since I had someone waiting for me in the parking lot and needed to head back to work, I grudginly accepted I picked up the vehicle later and drove it for a couple of days and on the third day as I am heading back to work after dropping my kids to school, I heard a screeching sound coming from the front aaxle are where the repair was done- I stopped the vehicle in the sub zero temps and I then proceeded to call my insurance to get it towed to the shop - I called the shop and gave them the heads up and eventually got the vehicle towed ther- I was told it is a loose caliber bolt and it was addressed - no charge. I was inconveninenced and I have sincere doubts now about the quality of the work in this shop and how it is run.

They replaced a faulty tire (good). Manager was supposed to get back to me on warranty question. He didn't (bad), so I just left it as frustrated. Oh well, next time just won't pay for add'l tire warranty.

My tire was not fixed when I went in the first time, so I went back last Saturday (2/29) to get it patched again and was turned away because they didn't have any time. I asked if I would be able to get in at one of the other locations and was told to call them myself. Needless to say, the front desk employee was terrible and I'll never go back to Youngstedts Eden Prairie again. It's unfortunate because I used to enjoy the quality and customer service at Youngstedts.

We have serviced our cars here for years until recently - I had my van in THREE TIMES in 10 days and they kept saying it was fixed and it wasn't. Finally took it somewhere else where they actually fixed it. Very unsatisfied with the level of customer service (we always had to call and check on the car, nobody called us) and lack of caring for this ongoing issue. We will never be back.

So i go there to buy a new tire after seeing one of their flyers. Turns out I get charge $30+ dollars for the tire compared to the price in the flyer. Youngstedt's can delete my info from their system. My car needs about $1,000 worth in repairs, but I'll be going somewhere else for that.

I have been very loyal to the company and location and have purchased 4 sets of tires. Last transaction was handled very poorly and am not returning. While they you are part of family, it was not handled as such

I took my car in for a oil change and tire rotation. I marked the tires as to ensure that the tires were actual rotated! And you guessed it, tire weren't rotated! The same tires were in the same location after work was complete. Discussed it with the mechanic, and he "thought" he did a tire rotation. I think I won't be going back to Youngstedts!

My A/C was serviced by Youngstedts last year and never worked. I brought it in for a second time during cooler outside temps and Lance stated don't worry about it "YOUR WARRANTY WONT RUN OUT" we will take care of you. My 3rd call to the shop was setup by a young man and he stated that he would have time to look at my vehicles A/C (under warranty). After I spoke with him I asked to talk to Lance (Service Manager) to confirm that I still was under warranty. As soon as Lance found out it was warranty work he wanted to reschedule me for another time. I did not want to reschedule. I wanted what I had already been confirmed an Lance was not being reasonable even after I reminded him of his statement about the warranty. Lance denied saying anything about the warranty, essentially calling me a liar and was rude and condescending. I was constantly put on hold during our conversation and I felt he was playing games with me. Let me be perfectly clear. Im not asking for a lifetime warranty. I simply wanted what was originally promised. After I was able to eliminate Lance from the equation, everything seemed to be handled very professionally. Jeremy (Service Manager) had excellent communication and the tech that worked on the vehicle was also knowledgeable and well mannered. I was disappointed that there was still a bill even though, again I was promised by Lance that it all would be covered under the original service appointment. This is not the first issue I've had and have heard from others that Lance is difficult to deal with.

Despite my disappointment with this visit, I still feel Youngstedt's is the best, and I will continue to be a patron of them. However, the main reason I switched from my prior mechanic to Youngstedt's was that I felt my prior mechanics were always trying to "push" more product on me in order to get more profits for themselves. Unfortunately, this is what I feel the Service Adviser for this visit was also doing. My problem was a thumping noise apparently coming from the tires especially noticeable between 35 and 40MPH. He said the front struts were leaking and recommended that I replace them for $860+. I did so, and it solved nothing. Makes sense to me now...How would leaking front struts (if, indeed, they were leaking) cause a thumping noise? He was also recommending I buy a new set of tires. I feel that Youngstedt's did not know what was causing the thumping, so they pushed a service I did not need with the thought that if that did not solve the problem (and they knew it would not), they could simply push another product on me. There's nothing wrong with not knowing what the cause of a problem is...none of us knows everything. But I absolutely hate it when instead of admitting this, a mechanic simply tries to upsale products to me. I realize that garages make money off the products they sell, but I hope the management at this Youngstedt's outlet advise its Service Advisers to NOT do this with me in the future. I'll certainly be more cautious about this from now on! (I would appreciate not having this same Service Adviser deal with me in the future)
